Rachel

Rachel is a writer, educator, and storyteller who loves helping students uncover the heart of their college essays. As a proud New York University alum and former Admissions Ambassador, she knows what makes applications stand out—not just from the reviewer's side of the table, but from years of working one-on-one with NYC students on everything from high school essays to Ivy League personal statements.

As a BFA recipient from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Rachel brings a uniquely creative eye to admissions coaching. Whether she's demystifying essay prompts or helping to structure a creative portfolio, Rachel lives for the moment when a student lets their voice shine confidently and coherently. She has worked extensively with New York City students, developing an approach that helps applicants present their authentic selves while meeting institutional expectations.

As an award-winning playwright and filmmaker, she knows everyone has a story to tell, and she believes every application should be equal parts strategy and soul. As a coach, she uses multifaceted techniques that blend writing exercises with in-depth conversation to help students find and articulate their unique story. Her experience working as a managing editor and writing instructor has sharpened her ability to provide constructive feedback that elevates her students' writing and inspires them to take greater risks.

Rachel is comfortable working with students of all backgrounds. Whether it's a STEM-centered applicant with a passion for molecular biology or an aspiring artist with a proclivity for prose, every student will receive the tools needed to refine their narratives, hone their voice, and present their achievements effectively.
