Elizabeth

Prior to joining Interface, Elizabeth was a private secondary school department chair and English teacher for the last fifteen years. She founded and advised a nationally award-winning student art & literature magazine; taught Advanced Placement courses in English literature and English language; scored writing for both the College Board and numerous educational research affiliates; and continues to guide other educators in the teaching of composition as a consultant for the National Writing Project.

At Interface, Elizabeth guides her students through all steps of the writing process, from brainstorming to finished product. With her kind attention and constructive feedback, students discover their unique voice while crafting their personal statements.

She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and has earned her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, her M.A. in English literature with a focus in composition & rhetoric from UMSL, and her M.A.T. from Webster University.

When not working with her students, Elizabeth can be found curled up with a good book or enjoying time with her patient husband and their three children.
