Interface Education counselors and students form a strong team that has achieved impressive results. We owe our success to the collaboration of a dynamic counselor community and the hard work and determination of our students. Students form unique bonds with their primary counselor while being provided with numerous opportunities for feedback, review, and training from additional counselors, advisors, and administrators at Interface. Every result at Interface is a team result that represents hundreds of hours of preparation and implementation.

We also base our results on a deep understanding of fit for each individual student. At Interface, we want our students to not only attend prestigious universities, but enroll in an institution where they will thrive as a learner, leader, and legacy.

“Working with my Interface counselor, Rachael, has been a fantastical process of discovering my goals and potentials. I was respected as myself and found my own voice in writing, rather than having me imitate previous successful applicants. She was always there to patiently guide me to make the choices that fit me the best when I was helplessly seeking help during application season. Because of her guidance, my application season was not just a torturous waiting, but a freeing process of exploring who I am. What I feel is more worthwhile than the outcome of my college admissions process is the freedom I was given to develop and grow as a person.“

“I had a more friend-like relationship with my counsellor Claire. She knows me well and gives me suitable recommendations. She kept me on track for the whole process, updating me on the upcoming opportunities and the deadlines of all materials.

As I’m applying to US universities as a student-athlete, Claire helped me to phone golf coaches when I couldn’t get a reply through email. When I went to America to visit universities and play golf tournaments, Claire also helped me to plan my route around the US. I’m very thankful that I have her as my counsellor and she really helped me to go through the college application process much easier.“

“Interface doesn’t feel like the typical agency that just solely aims to help you get into a university. When I first joined the jumpstart program, I was told to see every counselor as part of your team while you play the role of the leader of the team. I discovered it is a hundred percent true. Every piece of your writing or decision is keenly and cautiously evaluated by a team of experienced counselors. Especially at the start of senior year, most of my writings are submitted to a “mock evaluation” like the actual admission process. With the comprehensive evaluations, resources, and emotional supports Interface offered, I was able to achieve myself to the fullest.“

“Working with Interface, I always felt like everyone cared for my success and wellbeing. This was so special because I could build a sense of trust with my counsellor and the staff I interacted with. This allowed my counsellor to guide me toward activities like research programs that could help me develop my skills and experience involving my specific interests. I also received much support when I was writing my essays.“

“My counsellor painstakingly commented on every rendition of my essay and often took it to other counsellors for a third-person perspective. Although the process was sometimes stressful, my counsellor’s support reassured me that every draft was better than the last. Somewhere along the way, I had gained a supportive team of experienced mentors from Interface that made my application process enjoyable.”

“The power of Interface stems not only from your assigned counselor, but also from a team of experienced counselors with a wealth of knowledge. Before I joined Interface, I was at a crossroads: I had interests in computer science, mathematics and finance, but I had no clue which one I wanted to pursue in college. After I joined Interface, my counselor consulted with several other counselors to find a rather niche major - financial engineering - which I fell in love with. Moreover, my college essays were looked over not only extensively by my counselor, but also by a team of specialists whose backgrounds came from a plethora of different schools and made sure my application would be a good fit for the different schools I applied to. “

“Interface offers opportunities which not only look phenomenal in your college applications, but also help you grow as a person. Frequently, there would be new programs to participate in. One of my favorite programs was the Philosophy Program. Interface’s expertise meant that it was run by a postdoctoral fellow from the Philosophy Department at Harvard. I became so engrossed with the subject, despite being a STEM student, I wrote an article and I’ve even opted to do a minor in Philosophy in college. This was just one of the pivotal ways Interface was able to set me apart from the other STEM students.”

“To further my interest in financial engineering, Interface provided me with an opportunity to intern with a financial technology company. From there, I’ve published two research papers, designed an educational video game and the boss even wrote me a letter of recommendation, which proved instrumental. I’m grateful for how Interface has allowed me to flourish academically, socially and professionally.”

Accepted to School of the Art Institute of Chicago (with scholarship) /Pratt Institute (with scholarship)/ The Glasgow School of Art/Art Center College of Design/School of Visual Arts(with scholarship)/California Institute of the Arts(with scholarships)/ Maryland Institute College of Art

It was a wise choice for me to work with interface, and I really enjoyed the whole process in the past 3 years.

My direction is art school and I was happy I had been paired with a counsellor who is an expert in art school applications. She gave me so many valuable advices, had been leading me all the way to prepare and finish my applications very well. Furthermore, Interface works as a team! I have received essay writing comments and recommendation letter support from other counselors too. Whenever I feel stressed or meet some difficulties, I could always reach out to my counselor or Interface team. It means a lot to me.

Most importantly, I found Interface not only helped me in my college applications, but also helped me grow as a person. I found I knew myself better, like what my strength and weakness are, What I want to pursue in the future. I feel more confident than before and I am ready and really expecting to my new journey in the art school.

“Interface has given me and many other students a much greater understanding of what to expect and how to prepare for tertiary education in the United States. Especially for myself, living in Auckland, there were very little chances to learn about US colleges as schools primarily focused on New Zealand universities. The counsellors available at my school primarily focused on the University of Auckland as well as universities in Australia and elsewhere in New Zealand; we made little progress in helping me in the application process for a US university. I was struggling with a range of things from essays and my extracurriculars to choosing a suitable university. Many of these questions were answered when I joined Interface, as I gradually learned about the specialties and focuses of institutions across the US as well as what they are looking for.”

“From working with my counsellor Claire, I managed to take my first steps into the education system in the US – covering topics ranging from essays, possible majors and different colleges. I was encouraged to try new things by my counsellor, leading to insightful experiences such as research, online courses, and university courses among several other things – this pushed me to see what I could achieve. This led to a very exciting experience in high school where I learned an assortment of skills that I am sure will aid me further in my journey. Interface has also held events such as “boot-camps” to allow students to get feed-back on their writings and refine our application to present ourselves in the best light.”

Support would always be given at Interface to anyone that asks. You can not only get help for the application but also gain personal development from the whole team. Unlike many application institutions, Interface guides you to make your own path and find your own passion in life. This is much more than merely imitating past successful application.

My counselor was supportive and encouraging during my time with Interface. Initially I had many different interests in feminism, business, and fine arts. During meetings with my counselor, I gained great guidance from her experiences to involve in creative activities that can combine my interests. Also, I had chances to participate in diverse workshops for writing, business, and gender studies to initiate my different academic interests. When applying for colleges, I was able to gain personalized insights from many counselors to revise my essay. I appreciated that I could work with two counselors for my essay closely and communicate with them about every detailed question I have at any time. Moreover, I gained full support in pursuing my dream school and finding the right college from my counselor. During the time with Interface, every student is able to attain personal growth by working with a team that has ample knowledge, abundant experiences, and patience.

“Interface has prepared me an extremely well for my college applications. I started with a counselor who helped me to get familiar with the Interface family. Then I began working with my permeant counselor that was chosen for me based on my personality and the recommendation given from the first counselor. Interface really offers a tailored and personalized experience for its students! With its helpful community and numerous opportunities, I was able to explore many aspects of STEM (even sci-fi story writing!) and conquer many of my weaknesses.

Not to mention the great counselor team who has reviewed my application from different perspectives and has given me great advice. Overall, thanks to Interface's counselors and resources, I was able to get a comprehensive activities list, great college essays, and eventually, offers from my dream school. Interface has helped me not only in terms of college admission, but also in terms of self-betterment and meeting talented and like-minded people.”

“Interface pairs you with the perfect counselor for you and works as a team so your application is reviewed by several very experienced counselors before you submit it to colleges. They will make sure you present your application in the best way. Different counselors will also help you in many other ways though workshops and programs.”

“My counselor is very kind and inspiring, and always provides me with a lot of support. She is one of the warmest people I have ever met. She is very professional in her field, and is always willing to listen to my ideas. I did not feel alone or helpless during the college application process because I knew she was always there for me.”

“Interface is great as it pairs you with a counselor who is perfect for your situation and works with you throughout the whole application process. From choosing which university will suit you the most all the way up until you get accepted, they are there to help. Your counselor also works with a team of other professionals who review your application to ensure it is the best application. Interface does great at keeping the process moving along at the right pace and making sure you do what needs to be done.

My counselor was very helpful and always on top of everything, and also just very kind and supportive.  She was very good at keeping me on track and was always very open minded to what I have to say. During the process I didn’t feel nervous or anything because I knew I was getting everything done on time. Overall, the process was very smooth and I am very glad I came to Interface for help.”

“My Interface counselor not only provided me with specific guidance regarding the college application process, but also offered a lot of moral support. I still remember revising my essay over and over again and going through my portfolio short film line by line with her. Because she is so experienced and patient, I felt very assured about to which direction I am heading. Working with Interface, I feel like what’s more important than the final college application result is my personal growth throughout this process.”

“Interface prides itself on ensuring that every student gets the help that they need, and I certainly agree. The summer preceding my senior year, I was struggling to write my essays, find a suitable major, and identify the right college for me. Luckily, Interface recognized this and organized a college “boot camp” in my area. They even flew two of their premier counselors down to my area to help me, along with a few other students, out. Thanks to Interface, I left the boot camp with several finished essays, a major in mind, and a couple of colleges that I was excited to apply to. And, fortunately, I was able to continue working with the two counselors I met even after the boot camp. Needless to say, the smile I had after I left boot camp appeared regularly during my time with Interface.”

“Unlike most college application services, Interface has a wealth of resources that it happily makes available to its students. During my time with Interface, I was able to work with a bunch of counselors, essay editors, and other college application specialists. When preparing for my interviews, I was assigned an expert on interviewing, and before the early decision deadline, my entire application was reviewed by a panel of former admissions officers. Interface wants every student to succeed, and the accessibility of their extensive knowledge, experience, and resources proved invaluable for me.”

“Interface has a supportive community and tries to pair you up with the counselor that fits you the most. Not only your counselor, but the whole team will also help to review your application to lead it to perfection. Different counselors have different perspectives, which prepares you better for the application period.

My counselor is caring and supportive. She helps me edit my personal statement, which is one of my biggest hassles. Because of her, my university application is much smoother and more organized.”

“Interface has helped me understand and navigate the intricate process of applying for universities, and has definitely helped me achieve my goals to get into my dream school. By prioritizing the pairing of students with suitable counselors, it has made the process much smoother and enjoyable. My counselor Claire has been so accommodating and friendly and is such a lovely person. She has gone out of her way to provide an answer for every and any question or concern I have. I am super grateful to have her as a counselor, especially during the pandemic when there are a lot of changes to the application system, having someone who is sincerely dedicated to help is a life saver. ”

“My Interface counselor always made time for me whenever I had any questions. Whether it was an urgent query about course selection or simply looking over a draft of my Common Application essay, my counselor was always there to offer advice and feedback. Even during the most intense part of the college application process, my counselor always managed to get my drafts back within 24 hours. I'm deeply grateful for his diligence and dedication!”

“Interface helped me turn my relatively generic essay topics into great pieces of writing that really showed who I am. The most important concept Interface taught me was displaying "intellectual curiosity" through the essays, which is key in the admissions process. Without pointing me towards that direction, my essays would've been overly bland and uninteresting. I think the edits my Interface counselor suggested that helped display intellectual curiosity was key to my success.”

“The thing I like the most about Interface is that the counselors work as a team. As I wrote my essays or prepared for interviews, I always had plenty of opportunities to talk to different counselors. It was super helpful to receive feedback from readers who didn't know me as well as my counselor did. College applications aside, I also enjoyed getting to know so many knowledgeable counselors through deep conversations and lighthearted chats.”

“My counselor was super responsive throughout the college application process—he made it clear early on that we shouldn’t hesitate to reach out to him, and he always replied to my questions or concerns in a timely manner. His feedback on my essays were tough at times, but it meant that I always knew exactly how I could improve my next draft. College wasn't the only thing he focused on though: he often sent us book recommendations and inspirational articles to encourage us to take breaks from working on applications. He continued his mentorship after the college application process by providing a list of tips to help us better transition into our college life.”
