Rachel is a writer, educator, and storyteller who loves helping students uncover the heart of their college essays. As a proud New York University alum and former Admissions Ambassador, she knows what makes applications stand out—not just from the reviewer's side of the table, but from years of working one-on-one with NYC students on everything from high school essays to Ivy League personal statements. 

Mel brings creative vision, academic rigor, and compassionate mentorship to Interface. She holds a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago and spent a year at the University of Oxford, specializing in classical literature and poetry. 

With over six years of experience as an English writing and admissions essay coach, Mel has guided students in crafting more than 1,000 essays that have helped secure admissions to top universities such as Cornell, Williams, UVA, Georgetown, Wellesley, UC Berkeley, NYU, UCL, HKU, and more.

Cora has extensive experience in writing, education, and interdisciplinary thinking. She received her B.A. from St. Johns College, a school that specializes in the interdisciplinary study of philosophy, literature, history, and the sciences through primary texts. She received her M.F.A in Poetry from Johns Hopkins University, where she also served as a Lecturer of Creative Writing.
